Here’s My Story

My passion for photography began when I was in elementary school, my dad gave me a camera that was so small it fit on a keychain. I spent my afternoons photographing horses and dandelions on a neighborhood farm, taking in the beauty around me through photographs.  In middle school, I started a photo club at my school so I could learn how to use manual settings, and I had my first paid session as a high school sophomore in 2013. I haven't stopped since.

It has been a journey of learning to see — from those early days full of wonder, to my studies at MTSU's photography program — & I believe I will always have more to learn. In my day-to-day life I seek out beauty and light, because I believe wonder & hope are essential to life. Those elements are a key role in my portrait photography here in Nashville (and beyond!).

Stories are how I express and seek hope in the world — in photography as well as books and movies and in life. It is consistently humbling that I have had the trust of my clients in so many phases of their stories. If you are drawn to my work, it would be an honor to tell yours. As the years go on, I will continue to seek out honesty and beauty in life & in people.
